2026 - 2027 School Year

Best Days of our Lives flyer

Welcome, South Valley Students and Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at South Valley School! Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are thrilled to have you as part of our school family.

This year's theme, "Best Days of Our Lives," is a reminder that every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, build meaningful relationships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. At South Valley School, we believe that the best days are not defined by perfection, but by the progress our students make, the confidence they gain, the friendships they build, and the joy they experience as they discover their strengths and prepare for meaningful, independent lives.

We are committed to providing engaging learning experiences that help our students develop independence, workplace skills, self-advocacy, communication, and confidence both in the classroom and throughout our community. We know that the greatest success happens when schools and families work together, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day. Your partnership plays an essential role in helping our students reach their fullest potential.

Communication is very important to us. Each month, we will send a school newsletter through ParentSquare featuring upcoming events, celebrations, school highlights, and valuable family resources. If you prefer a printed copy, please let us know. Individual classroom updates and information will continue to come directly from your student's teacher. We encourage you to reach out anytime you have questions, concerns, or ideas. Our Assistant Principal, Katie Crandall, our teachers, and I are always happy to help.

One of the unique aspects of South Valley School is the incredible learning that takes place beyond our classroom walls. Through our many community and business partnerships across Jordan School District and the Salt Lake Valley, students gain valuable real-world experiences that help prepare them for employment and independent living. We are deeply grateful to these businesses for investing in our students. We encourage our families to support them whenever possible.

As we begin this new year together, we look forward to celebrating every milestone—big and small. We are excited to watch our students grow in confidence, independence, and resilience while creating memories that truly become some of the best days of their lives.

Thank you for being an important part of the South Valley School community. We are honored to partner with you and can't wait to see all that this school year will bring.

With gratitude,

Tammy Rajczyk
