Student of the Month - October
Damon Halcom
Damon has gone out of his way to greet and welcome everyone, making each person feel seen and valued. What impresses me most is that he made a special effort to connect with a classmate who has been struggling — even though that student's loudness sometimes made him nervous. He chose kindness anyway and treated this student like a friend.Damon's smile is contagious, and his great sense of humor lights up the room. He loves playing games and brings just the right kind of competitiveness — one that lifts everyone up. If every student reached out with the same warmth that Damon does, our school — and the world — would be a far better place.
