Student of the Month - October
Melissa Vaquera
This month's theme, Active Listening, celebrates students who listen to others, seek out different perspectives, and work through challenges with kindness — and Melissa does this naturally, every day.
Melissa is an excellent active listener, making eye contact with speakers and offering thoughtful responses. Her kindness shows everywhere — in our classroom, in the halls, and on the bus. She's always looking for ways to help others and is a great friend to her classmates. Recently, she supported a classmate's peer-conversation goal, quickly understanding she needed to actively listen and have a real conversation with him.
She has made great growth in resolving conflicts on her own.Thank you, Melissa, for being such a wonderful example!
